A rare and beautifully toned quinarius from the Lemovices

CELTIC, Central Gaul. Lemovices. Circa 100-50 BC. Quinarius (Silver, 14 mm, 1.90 g, 12 h), 'à l'épée' type. Celticized male head with thick locks to left. Rev. Celticized horse prancing to left; above, sword; below, flower ornament. DT 3436. LT 4097 var. (differing symbol below horse). SLM -. Rare. A beautifully toned piece with an unusually clear reverse. The obverse struck from a somewhat worn die, otherwise, good very fine.
